Where do U guys stay if you are commuting and your duty day is finished while at Your Base......................I was under the impression the company furnishes a hotel for the night until the next duty day.............Someone Please clarify??????
At our company, when you finish at your base then you are on your own. As far as the company is concerned, you live at your base. If you choose to commute and live elsewhere that is your choice, therefore they do not provide accomidations while at your own base.
I know of no company that provides a hotel after the trip is over. When you are done..(back to your domicile) then your free to stay or find your way home. But the company aint gunna privide a hotel for ya!
When you finish duty in domicile you are on your own.. You can stay at the econo lodge for about 29 a night or you can get a crash pad with some buddies.. usually in the ghetto and you share a room... there are other options.. use your imagination.. (rv in the employee lot)
Some people (I have done in numerous times) sleep in our less than glamorous crewrooms, its such an exciting time, sleeping in a rotted out lazy boy or dirty couch that 9 million people have infected with their germs over the past few months....... I am living the dream now baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Most people bid lines that start late and end early, usually four day trips. That way you can jumpseat to and from work. If you can hold a "commutable" line, then there is no need for a crashpad. Commuting is a very stressfull process and is not recommended.
