Being new to the commuting end of things, can anybody tell me how different companies take care of commuters? Are you responsible for parking at the airport you commute from, and if so are there cheaper lots for commuters? I will be commuting out of DEN. Thanks for any ideas!

Your airline should reimburse you up to the amount it would cost to park in domicile. This is good if you are say based in BOS ( it used to be $85 a month for the Chelsea parking garage) or not as great if you are based in DFW, ($15 a month) Talk to your Chief or payroll dept. I flew freight out of DEN but I always parked in the UPS lot and took the shuttle to the terminal to try and catch a ride home once in awhile. It was free and never had a problem. Good luck

Should is the important word here. The airline I work for wouldn't even dream of reimbursing us for parking.

In all, it depends on who you work for. Some airlines will reimburse you, others will not. You can, however, sometimes pay the airport yourself. In many cases it's cheaper than paying for long term parking.
