Can anyone share what their impression is of the number of newhires coming from the regional ranks...especially at CS or FO?

Educational background, flight time, jet time, etc.? Or have the fracs sworn off the scooter trash?

Acecrackshot,

I would also find posts by Skywayfo - he was recently hired by FLOPS from a regional - he could give you some perspective as well.

Good luck

Flyboy,

I love that Avatar! Nice ride...

I have seen in ioe the best guys that work the best in the fractional type of flying are regional and charter pilots. Both are used to flying to multiple places without much notice and long days. Regional and charter guys are usually younger and don't mind the baggage lifting and automation. Except those from the 1900 then the autopilot is this whacky thing... :)

I'd say if you came from a regional you wouldn't have a problem in the least. Just the fact that you totally have to forget about the way you have done it in the 121 world.
