Can anyone think of a problem with doing commercial instruction in a Piper Meridian aircraft? I had an owner of one approach me about instructing him for his commercial certificate and I was not sure if there would be any legal issues down the line such as the DE or FAA examiner had to have time in that aircraft to give him the checkride? I dug (a little) in the FAR's but found nothing. As for inspections, if I remember correctly as the owner of the aircraft he does not need a 100-hour done on it, as he is the sole user of the aircraft, correct?

As for the flight training aspect I believe it will perform all the required maneuvers just fine. I was more concerned about the legal aspect of using this aircraft but please chime in if you can think of anything at all.

Thanks

That should be fine. I believe that time in type for examiners only applies to aircraft that require type ratings or any multi engine aircraft
