How much better was the contract that you achieved with your srike than managements final offer before the strike?

Thanks

This question has no reason to respond. There is a reason why Comair pilots were on strike for 89 days. There is a reason why no other airline did that successfully.

I would also like to know the same thing?

It is my understanding that there was an offer preposed that was turned down, then came the STRIKE.

Comair you have the best contract in the industry that has been made clear by our Mesaba ALPA. Every graph at the top is Comair whether it be pay, retirement, perdiem.

What % pay increase for example was achevied from the pre strike offer v. what was signed in the end? Was there one big windfall that came after the months of striking that pushed it over the edge?

The bar you have set for the regional industry and the effort it took to get it there is not unnoticed.

So no responses in 12hrs hmm? No Comair pilots out there willing to answer the questions? last call.

Mesaba pilots have a lot of intrest in what you were able to gain during the strike verses the pre strike offer.

We have improved 90% of the 31 sections in our contract and held even in the other 10% with our TA that is on the table. We would love some input as to weather the 3% of pay we came up short is worth the hardship of a strike?

We achieved many improvements in work rules and compensation and retirement, although I think we fell a little short of what we had hoped for in some of those areas. However, I do believe that overall we have a fair contract.

Yes, there was a 'settlement offer' that was voted on by the pilot group shortly before the strike. This SO was to be managements last and best offer. It sucked, it was voted down (6 votes yes, the remainder NFW!), and we went on strike after management walked away from the table several hours before the strike deadline. There was a second SO issued to us during the strike that sucked almost as bad as the first one. It too was voted on and shot down (99 votes yes, the remainder NFW). Only after that did we reach a TA that was ratified by the pilot group (64% yes, 36% NFW).

I don't have a copy of the old contract so I can't give you the percentage increases that you are asking for. The increases were noticeable, but no one is getting rich here. Most of us, except for first-year FO's are comfortable.

I can't tell you whether 3% more in compensation that you are looking for is worth going on strike over. Only your pilot group can decide collectively after considering the TA as a whole. Remember, it's your job and quality of life but how you vote on this will have an affect on the industry as your contract will be thrown into the mix of 'industry average' for the purposes of pattern bargaining.

Good luck and stand strong!
