Can anyone tell me how the DFW base has affected the crew numbers at CVG? I was wondering approximately how many pilots and flight attendants are now based in CVG?

Thanks

CVG is the ONLY current base for Comair.

So all of the crews are based there. Orlando just shut down. Dallas won't begin until next summer, or that is the current word on the street:) Also a very strong rumor is that Salt Lake city will be a base sometime in 2004.

Funny, we have the same rumor "floating" around ASA.

some other good ones.....

No more 50 seat deliveries, we w ill take ASA and Comair's 700's through the end of next year.

DCI and Mainline 757's will make up the new "low cost" carrier for Delta Express II.

The sky is falling

Our contract will be done in 60 days

It will such a good offer we will have no choice but to sign

The 90 seat RJ is "right around the corner"

Bill Jackson hates to eat.

Our CP is back on-line due to anger management issues

Thats all for now....I will get some more tonight

Idle curiousity here.

What is a "strong rumor"? Is that more beleivable than a regular rumor? What is the benchmark for a rumor to qualify as "strong"?

:p :p :p

If the guy you were flying with two months ago.......had a buddy that was in recurrent last month......who overheard an Instructor Pilot talking about a vacation he took to Salt Lake City.

Then...and only then....it is a "strong rumor"!

Just messing with you jetflyer, we are just as bad with the rumors around ATL. :D

We have them a-plenty. I usually just disregard them. I guess I should put more stock in the strong rumors. Now that I know the criteria for what qualifies, I will be on the lookout.

Are there any other strong rumors that I don't know about???

:p

Kinda like the movie "A Few Good Men."

"I object." "Overrulled."
"I strenuously object"

Strong rumors are much more reliable and hence you believe them twice as much as you believe a normal rumor - 2X0=?

Todays strong rumors;

1) Contract will take three years (union guy).

2) DAL will use mainline 757 and 738 aircraft for new LCC, with regular mainline pilots and all other employees being paid less than mainline rates.

3) Comair is getting 100 seat RJ's.

4) ASA is taking over MCO hub, Chit is outta there (too cheap an operation even for DAL).

5) ASA and Comair to SLC. Skywest will fly for UAL only (after the bankruptcy at UAL).

6) ASA will hire 50 per month, interviews begin again soon.

7)ASA got a flight out on-time in ATL.

Oh, and that is just two days of strong rumors.
