I interviewed with Comair last August and was selected to be in the September 12 ground school class, but that got canceled due to Delta's filing bankrupcy. I received in email in March asking if I was still interested in remaining in Comair's pilot pool because they were planing to hire 18 FO's. I just want to know if they do decide to hire are they going to pick from the pool first or just interview new applicants.

I don't know, but my guess is they will pull from the pool first (what's left of it anyway). There's no point in interviewing for the sake of interviewing.

Here's another question for you guys. I'm 22 years old and flying Captain for a Part 135 cargo operation using Shorts 360's. Would it be wise to leave my Captain position to go to Comair and fly as a CRJ FO? I'm thinking that jet time is very important but also PIC Turbine is also very important too.

Stick it out & get as much turbine PIC as you can (depending on where you want to be .....1000-1300+). Then leave. The time will open some doors for you. Try to become a check airman, too.

+1, and finish your degree if you haven't already.

If you work where I think you work, I know a number of people who have gone straight to a larger carrier without taking the regional step. I used to work there, and if I had it to do over again I would have stuck it out and gotten more turbine PIC there than I did. UPS especially likes to hire out of Milwaukee.
