Comair Folks...Crazy Question

I am currently in the pool, and have a scheduling question. I am getting married next Labor Day (2 times a charm...) and will obviously be pretty junior and still on probation and maybe reserve.

Will it be difficult to get that weekend off (ie, should I prepare for the divorce before I am married)?

Thanks

I thought this thread dealt with "Comair Folks...Crazy"---and I was going to give an answer but now I can see there was more to the question. Sorry.

Bye Bye---General Lee:D  :) :D :p :p :p :p ;)

General,
you should get out and fly sometime.....earn your keep. The computer screen is getting to your head.

Nuts

I got married DURING ground school at Comair. While I did have some scheduling conflicts at first, the company worked with me to resolve things so that I could actually BE at the ceremony! It's tacky if you miss it... Things could have been a touch better as far as the amount of time I got off, but it worked out in the end. Long story short....it worked out but you should plan to tell scheduling ASAP when you get there. I wouldn't wait until you're out of training...tell them right away. The chief pilots are easy to deal with and the more heads up you give them the better.

Best of luck and congrats!

I was waiting for the General to pipe up, LOL!

My short story: I've been with CMR almost a year and I bid the CDO (naps, high-speeds, stand-ups, whatever you want to call them) lines. I've been able to get almost all the weekends off for the past 5 mos. I know guys in my class that bid a line can get a couple of the weekends off, so, it can be done. Congrats and good luck!

LOL

Yes, treetop, Captain V and I are aware of your difficulties....LOL.....hey, brother, how you doing???

Thanks for the responses...looks like I probably won't have to sleep on the couch at home as well as the crashpad (at least for this situation).

I thought the subject would spark some interest.

YES! Get a prenup, if you don't, you aren't properly preparing for your statistically inevitable divorce. My condolences.

I don't like cornflakes.....I am a fruity Pebbles man.

Do NOT say

“Is this about feelings because you know I don’t have any.”

Wife – “I wish I had a body like that.”
You – “Yeah, me to.”

“You are not inadequate, you are definitely adequate”

Waco,

It was a joke, and I fly a lot and sometimes bring my laptop for longer overnights. But, when I am at home, I often workout, ride bikes, and spend time with my wife. I thought the joke was funny and others would appreciate it---like my friend sidseal. Take care now.

Bye Bye--General Lee:cool:
