Comair flight attendants have ratified their concessionary contract. 675 total votes: 549 yes/126 no.

Comair pilot negotiations continue. ALPA E&FA representatives and attorneys will be giving financial testimony in Judge Hardin's court on the 17th and pilot testimony will take place on the 27th.

Now the pilots are the only ones that want to see Comair fail. Or so says management. Stand strong guys and dont let them get in your heads. This management team is getting very desperate.

According to Ed Bastian, Delta's CFO, Comair is poised to make a $50 million operating profit this year after a $120 million loss last year. Wish I could use their fuzzy math in my personal finances. I'd be retired in Costa Rica by now.

Whew. Just a matter of time now before the pilots cave and put further pressure on my pilots. Muhuhuhahahaha!!!

That's how much Comair made (or lost) for Delta, not to be compared with what other regionals make which is fee for departure. I think Comair is breaking even on that. Granted Delta set those rates, but you get the point.

So Comair is paying Delta $50 million for the privilege of having "DeltaConnection" painted on the side of it's airplanes? Please explain this to me.

Delta received $50 million more in ticket sales on Comair aircraft than they paid for Comair's expenses. This is what the profit would have been in the old pro-rate environment. That environment does not exist anymore, and Comair's true revenues have nothing at all to do with ticket prices. Their revenue comes from a pre-arranged fee per block-hour rate (typically referred to as a fee for departure).

I know everyone likes to say its all the same company, and thats true, but then they turn around and compare Comair's $50 million to Republic's $20 million. You'd have to compare how much money Delta is bringing in for ticket sales on Republic aircraft and compare that to Comair's $50 million. That's Delta's profit, not the regionals, and even though Delta owns Comair, Comair is still being compared to the other regionals it competes with.

So you could either compare Republics $20 million to Comair's $0 FFD profit, or Delta's $70 million ticket profit on Republic compared to Comair's $50 million.
