Appearently Comiar is seeking to cut its costs by another $35 million. They are using (creative) measures to cut cost such as removing mints and hot chocolate from their aircraft. I heard that they were able to save $35,000.00 by removing the mints. Not sure about the Hot Chocolate, but I am sure that these measures are but a very small cost savings.

Comair struggled to cut cost by 35 Mil during their bankruptcy. Good luck on them achieving that goal. Delta has literally picked all of the feathers out of that bird.

spensive mints

The best laugh I've had all week. Seriously - how about cutting $35,000 from top managements monthly pay? CEOs and top management should be held responsible for mismanagment, not awarded and paid lucrative salaries.

Hmmm, a few working GPUs in JFK would make a nice start! I saw a pile of them in BDL the other day just collecting dust on the ramp.

When and only when, Comair cans Soaper, will I think comair is headed in the right direction. Maybe Soaper having an affair with the lady in hotels will help with his departure.

It mirrors Delta's early retirement severance package. To be elligable, you age and tears of service have to equal 60 or above. Some will take it. At least they are giving them more than three days to make up their minds. They already cut the junior people back in January.

I believe we saw like 8 de-ice trucks, and 4 Huffer carts too. You know because BDL is a hub and all.

P.S. I made my flight home. Thanks.

(If you are who I think you are)

Soaper dates back to the early days of the company and is one of the sharpest guys there. You don't want him going anywhere if you want the company to return to the profits of old. Much of the success back in the 90's before the Delta buyout was largly in part to his contributions.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Seriously, that's a riot.

Soaper is a total loser flunky. There's a reason he's still at Comair...and it isn't because he's brilliant.

You mean when he was driving the crew van from the hanger to the terminal?

Really?

I'd like to hear how my old friend has gone from brilliant to flunky in such a short period of time.
