How is the Q program going over at colgan? Has the SAS development had any effect?

I'm sure Colgan will attempt to get a good deal on some "slightly damaged" SAS Q400s. Can they DMI the landing gear?

Oh and the payscale still blows. All colgan pilots should look at the proposed PDT rates they are about to vote on.

Colgan Contract Negotiations

Colgan pilots took the inferior pay to help get the program up and running. They will negotiate higher pay next time they negotiate their contract. Ooooohh... wait. Never mind. No contract=No negotiations.

Of course, with the track record that ALPA has, who can blame them for voting no? They would have needed KY jelly with or without ALPA. At least this is one less Mesa-like "contract" on ALPA's record.

So far no one answered the question. Is anyone from Colgan lurking on this board who can give an answere. Is Colgan still training pilots with the hopes of getting the Q's in the beginning of January? I have heard a bunch of rumors of some delays, but non have been confirmed.

Thanks!

Hello,
Program is "up and running", but lacks infrastructure to support it from what I can see. CJC will be relying on prime contractor support, vendors and other third parties for some time. What this all means is a real "cluster-foxtrot" in the making at EWR. Great opportunity for growth if the program is successful, but I am taking a wait and see on that.
In general CJC is suffering the same problems as all other regionals, and some problems are more acute. Pilot morale and attrition is a key issue, but no real solutions from managment other than trying to stamp out the daily fires.
Work hard, fly safe, and keep the resume up to date.

I guess some of the folks that have gone through the Q training are back on the line flying the saab. Is that true? Has anyone said whether this gear problem will delay things even further?

they are putting these rates out for a vote.
