Has anyone been hired or know of anyone that has been hired by either of these two airlines with less than 200 ME time? If so, what were the times and what was their training background (ie. embry riddle types or local FBO types)?

Colgan still hires plenty of people with less than 200 hours ME time. Some are from program schools and some aren't. I don't know the exact mix.

You can't really compare what CHQ does with what Colgan does though. We both may be US Airways Express, but Colgan is a much different operation than CHQ. Colgan hires quite a few lower time pilots because many people who are jet qualified don't want to fly a 1900.
