Alright look ladies and gents,
As a former daredevil employee of Colgan Air from long ago, and since I have friends that are still there, I'm going to have to get right to the point.
Don't fly their broke down airplanes if they aren't going to do anything about them. In speaking to some of my buddies around that lemonade stand, it doesn't sound like anything has changed over the years, or it may have even gotten worse. No airline is worth a hill of FAA violations, or worse, death by mutilation. With the goings on I've been hearing about, I'm really quite surprised that the Feds aren't camped out in HEF. They oughtta be to be perfectly honest, and I don't wanna mention any names, but they oughtta be looking very carefully at the shear volume of shredded documents in the waste baskets of Dave and Donnie. I would be willing to bet you that it's considerably more than any former Enron Executive with all of the shenannigans those two pull on a daily basis.
One final note. It's your life, it's your ticket. You think that place will do anything for you when you veer off of an icy runway even though they've blackmailed you into taking the busted-up ferry flight in the first place? Uh-uh. In fact they're gonna act like they don't know you. Didn't you already lose a couple of friends recently? Don't propogate the mismanagement. Stand up and do the ethical thing. It isn't worth it.

jetpipes......on the borderline?

jetpipes:

To address your letter I must say you're slinging not a handful of mud, but a truckload. I must in this case defend my current employer. The accusations are baseless, meritless, slanderous and reek with venom. If you quit be gone from my midst. Your allegations are delusional really. I know what I'm talking about.

If you really want to take a stand, then why do it here. Why not get proper counsel and sue civilly and criminally? why settle your rage on a public board while casting dispersions on the people that sign my paycheck. Again, your letter was so overdone, I had to out of principle, take the defensive.

Unfortunately, you may have invited legal action. Yes, a judge could order flight info, through an plaintiff's counsel to produce your identity. there could be some serious mess for you.

We all have choices to make, but for you the best choice is to recant your allegations or take it up iin court.

Climbhappy

Good or bad, right or wrong, he or she has every right to write what ever it is that he or she may want to write.

Although I won't comment on his or her words, I will say that I think you need to open your eyes a little wider.

I know a guy who slid on an icy runway and had a prop strike of sorts. After the company turned him over to the FAA and wouldn't help him in the least. He ended up quiting instead of facing loosing his ticket.

Spare me!

Climbhappy,
Chpr is right, this board is for ANYONE to post ANYTHING they feel is appropriate, so long as it's not false or malicious. While Jetpipe certainly lacks any sort of tact and could have voiced his opinion a bit more delicately, now YOU'RE the one who looks to be venting credibility overboard. I'm sorry my friend, forgive me for using such harsh words.
The truth is, some of what Jetpipe says is valid, and is no different than the union or management discussions that take place here regarding Colgan or ACA or otherwise. What's more, we did have many continuous write-ups for maintenance related items on a daily basis, more than we should have. Believe ME, I know what I'm talking about too. Finally, I have personally witnessed coercion from the administration that can drive a good Captain to making a poor decision, and I was the FO, so don't act like you don't know what's going on.

Jetpipe,
We, the surviving friends and family, don't want to hear the graphic nonsense... I think we understand what happens in a plane crash and your search for shock value is not welcome here.

Thanks fellas &
God bless,
Jason

sure free speech is in the bill of rights, but i saw nothing presented with any evidence. how can you say there is value when he accuses top mgrs of shredding documents. that act would be considered a felony and a breach of fudiciary responsibility. There are statutes on the books.

he hasn't convinced me one iota of his case. did I DENY HIM RIGHT TO SPEAK, CERTAINLY NOT, BUT I CAUTIONED AS YOU RECALL TO TREAD LIGHTLY. A CAUTION IS NOT AN ABOLITION!

and jason sorry i can't spare you..... his case is weak. you guys are still grieving over something terrible. we all want to blame someone all the time. Don't deny me my right to question, refute and argue a case I see as very weak when presented as a bunch of allegations without any facts to back it up. Oh yeah, and he just joined flight info, and flew many years ago. spare, me this
guy no more has a 737 type than the man on the moon.

its clear to me he's a recent resignee, is upset and knows no other way to vent that hostility than to throw stones.

let the NTSB report come out first, then present your case.

that is proper, fair and without prejudice.............

Climb,
Okay, well put. And admittedly, Jet's profile is rather suspicious... So, what's up with that, Jet? New to the board or hiding after the revelation of "there is a rat in our midst"?

Well i thought the $50 in the paycheck the other day was pretty cool. On a positive note.

Climhappy!

On a lighter note:

with that vocabulary you outta be writing for a magazine!

I had to go fetch a dictionary : )

Cheers!

The case could be made that jetpipe has just heard of this website, or has just recently chosen to join after lurking for a while. Last time I checked, not everyone in the aviation world is automatically enrolled here when they renew their medical.

Climbhappy:

You may know what your talking about when it comes to his allegations, but you DO NOT know what you are talking about when it comes to the law.

To wit: after careful consideration of the guy's comments I can't find one single statement that would fit even the most liberal definition of either libel, or even slander, for that matter. There's not a judge around that would give any merit to the argument that flightinfo.com should reveal this guy's identity to their counsel.

I'll give you this, you made one hell of an effort to use some big-time legaleze in your post, but you need to give up on your jailhouse law practice, for you know not of what you write -- you need to just say "no" to any more of those John Grisham novels.

For example, my favorite would be the attempted effective use of the term "fIdUciary responsibility"....there's not a dispatch manager or D.O. on this planet who has fIdUciary responsiblity, much less fUdIciary (you didn't even spell the f-ing word correctly). Because, you see, my friend, fiduciary responsibility is only borne by those who have responsibility for others' MONEY and FINANCES, i.e.: lawyers, insurance agents, CFOs, accountants, stock and bond traders, etc.

Oh, one more thing.....you cannot sue someone criminally under the American system of jurisprudence.

tittyjet,

who died and left you pope? If you're one of these lame spellcheckers, since i can't type, then have at it. I'm not offended.

Do you know or not if donnie Nunn or whomever is or is not an officer of the corporation. If you'r an officer of the corporation, then you have fiduciary Are you a member of the bar? if so in what state. I didn't claim to be. what state's statutes did you examine to throw that blanket, indignant remark? The fact to say there isn't a judge around that couldn't order a web site to produce records shows your true ignorance. You've probably never heard of John Ashcroft and the anti-terrorism act. My distinguished colleague in aviation, you could be under surveillance right now.... probably not, but the rules of the game have changed....

To levy the remarks as the accuser did, and that's what they did is accuse, is to invite a response. You posted a statement about the definition of libel.. Where's your source? give me the staute number and verse. I didn't quote law . but now you've said on guard.

let's go pal. your rebuttal! do your homework. and enlighten us all.....

wrong again

No to either of your questions - Tittyjet is not a lawyer and he is not an employee of the "corporation".

The hell with this I'm going to work at Air Margaritaville. Jimmy Buffett's motto..."Fly Fast, Live Slow"

Has anybody ever retired from AIRLINE flying at the age of 40?

I think I'll be the first.

Where did you go for 3 weeks? I'm about to take a long vacation and need some ideas..

Is it really that bad here you ask.. It depends on what you consider to be bad.. In reality, you Saab guys are treated much different than us Beech guys and they try to get away with much more on this side of the house.

If you're interested, PM me sometime and we can compare notes.

It isn't that bad here..that's the point......

All i know is I saw five sunrises last week, got a cool picture of general grant with my check and if it's broke , it's broke.....

i would like to compare notes with anyone in person and maybe have several present. name the hub and let's get this issue resolved. It will take one day off to get started.

it's time a serious matter like this be addressed rather than take the time to post scathing hate mail without any real hints of or shadows of proof.

these are private matters and need to be addressed in professional manners. I don't have a problem with going to Mgt and laying it out on the table, if there's just cause.

I have been a certificate holder, and have a 15 year background in business to business negotiations. I'd like to help.

Mr. soprano , could you provide security?

It's great to see such a good attitude. You must still be in the honeymoon faze here.

Are you furloughed from another carrier? Do you commute or live at your base? Do you get DRed and then DNed every time you write something up?

It may not be as bad a some say, but it's most certainly not all roses like you make it out to be. JetPipes can be sued for his shredding comments, but there are too many people out there who have seen the things he talks about happen.

Like I said in a previous post, you need to open your eyes a little wider. I say that for your own safety.

Fly safe!
