I say this with love, brother: get a pair first. A lot of you Chicken Little types need to stop your whining and remember you fly for the very best "regional" airline out there. I'm not just saying that. I work with a variety of operations in the Safety Systems and Human Factors area. I spend a lot of time with a bunch of different pilots, and I can tell you this: I'll put the men and women of XJT up against any pilot group out there. Training, ability, culture, you name it, we kick ass.
What kind of industry do you think this is? Certainly not for the faint of heart. There are plenty of good piloting jobs out there. Network, train, and get qualified to go do something else if the worst case scenario occurs. In the meantime enjoy your job, and don't let the desperate machinations of bloated little fat-face bean-counters like Larry Kellner ruin your attitude.
I don't like it either, but I'll be danged if I'll let chance, fate or some airline executive ruin my good time. I'll ride this Express Jet horse with a smile on my face until it throws me off.
