I got the interview invite today. Interviews, finally, for DAL, PBI, CMH, and LAX. Been a long wait since February waiting for that DAL slot to open up. Now I just have to not go up there and blow it. Email said the interviews are for classes in October. Can't wait to get out there.

Congratulations! I hope the others posting here that wanted DAL got the call, as well. Good Luck with the interview! After the long wait they know that you're persistent and motivated... :)

It would be much better if you went up there and didn't blow it.

Whats the general makeup of the pilot group there? It is old crustys or alot of ex-regional and laid off mainline guys?

Netjets is a genuine Heinz 57 group of pilots. I've flown with (and met) former Airforce 1 drivers, retired 121 guys, regionals, crop dusters, flight instructors, corporate, military, freight pukes, furloughed airline pilots,...you name it, we've got it.

The bulk of them are a pretty good bunch of folks!

(Yeah, we've got a few odd-balls, just like everywhere else.)

We have all 31 flavors here. It's the Baskin Robbins of aviation.

how does the process work? I mean after you submit your app, and indicate what domicile you would like. Do they only call you for an interview when it is open? Or do they interview and then but into a pool and wait for that domicile?

thanks

They call you when the domicile opens. That's why I've been waiting since Feb. Due to family reasons, DAL is the only option for me.

Send in your resume. If they like it they will send you an application packet. Get that done and to them, which includes selecting the domiciles you are interested in, and after they go over it they will either tell you you are selected for an interview or not. You then go into the lists for each respective domicile, and as an opening comes available they invite the top of the list. That's my understanding of the process.
