Anyone know of any jobs/contacts in the CLT or CAE area. Prefferable jet operators but turbo prop will suffice.

Dude, you are in the land of the 10k hour furloughed airline pilot. Things are a little thin around USAir land. You can find a 12000 hour pilot doing primary flight instruction at most of the local airports around CLT nowadays.(Just met another one yesterday.) I try to pick up as much contract work on Citations on the side as I can and that is hard enough.

I haven't seen anything lately but will keep an eye open. I have run across a couple of piston jobs lately. Photo work and that sort of thing.

What are you current in? We use contract F/O's from time to time.

Im on a 800XP-C and Im still current in a 650 although I would have to refresh myself on that one.

It would be great to pick up some contract work and maybe turn something into a real gig.

Things are definately tough out there right now. I feel for those guys.

I'll keep an eye out for any 650 jobs. There is one at our field, but they just hired a guy a couple of months ago. If you have any King Air time, that would probably be your best bet for getting established around CLT. Seems to be lots of contract work on 200's and 90's. Got a furloughed buddy that stays pretty busy.

What's the 800XP-C? Is that the Pro-line 21 cockpit?

Fracster,

Got ya thanks. Hey I see from the Nascar post you have a relative working there. I am assuming that they fly there. How come you don't try and get on with them?

NASCAR is based out of Daytona. Im sorta stuck where I am for a little while otherwise I would.

If anyone wants to move to Daytona I would tell you to apply.

They keep them somewhere in NC but I am not sure. It might be a Lear31 or 35 and some sort of King Air. I'll check for you guys and let you know.
