$2000 didn't fit nor did $1500??? I am in the middle but initially asked for $2000 - I really think the guy was looking for someone who had West Texas ties just cause if not it's a HUGE culture shock moving there not to metion there isn't much else out there save the dessert.

How is the Ferry business going? I had an old Flight instructor that did that off and on well he was in college and he had a great time doing it - only big problem he ran into was sometimes dealing w/ insurance req. in order to ferry the aircraft. But he said he flew a ton of different aircraft and made good money doing it - esp. considering it was just a side job.

Please excuse my ignorance but what is cloud seeding and why is it done. I've heard of it before but just don't know anything about it.

Holy crap that is pretty low, considering that they also wanted someone to figure hotel/food/laundry into it, and its only a temp job. Is that 1099 or paid as employee?

Looks Like 1099!

For People That Dont Know 1099

Form 1099 MISC, Miscellaneous Income

If you make payments in excess of $600 to a worker who is not considered an employee, you must prepare Form 1099 Miscellaneous Income. Copies of this form must be provided to the worker and the IRS.

The IRS compares the payments shown on the information returns with each recipient's income tax return to determine whether the payments were reported as income.
