Finally after 3 weeks of rescheduling due to weather I completed my CFI with the DPA FSDO. Talk about a lot of weight lifted off my shoulders. Time to drink!! Now I just need a job =).

Congrats. Now, get ready to be broke for a loooong time. hahah. I used to fly out of Lewis U for a while. I remember doing turns around a point over the prison back in 98. :p

CONGRATS!!!

Some rules to live by:
  1. Students WILL try to kill you. Especially the more experienced ones. Don't let them.
  2. Don't ever appear nervous around your students. Only grab the controls at the last second. You know, 10' off the deck 30 degree nose down, ball fully to the left, 20 degress right bank and about 30 kts airspeed.
  3. If you don't know the answer to their question, say so.
  4. Never work for free
  5. Never fly in equipment you don't feel safe in.
  6. Never turn down a free meal or beer.
Speaking of the last one, if you're in SLC, then dinner and a beer's on me.

Good luck!

Oh Yeah. Become a freight dawg as soon as you get your 135 mins, even if only for a little while. It will make a man out of you. :)

congratulations, the job is very rewarding yet challenging. If you have fun with it you will learn more in your first 6 months of instruction than you probably did from 0 hours until today. And remember its Feast or Famine when it comes to getting paid as a CFI at least for me it is... so to the back of the line for the food stamps.

congrats

I too have been waiting to hear the news. I have my mock checkride...im expecting friday, and then the checkride early to mid next week. Can't wait to get the pressure off as well.

Congrats again,

Marc
