I have a CL-65 Type Rating and was interested in trying to obtain ashort course/conversion type rating for the Challenger 601/604. Afriend said CAE Simuflite did this a few years ago. I haven'tbeen able to find out if they still provide this option. Does anyone have info if such a program exists? Thanks.

No short course from the RJ to the challenger at least the 604. I just had that problem a couple of months ago. The airplanes are almost identical but you still have to sit through the entire 17 day course. They could cover the differences in about 1 hour, but hey look at the bright side at least you get to play with the cool auto throttles in the sim.

Since you are not "expirenced" in the CL-601 you might have a hard time getting them to let you take this course. I took this course with my Westsind type rating. The only reason they let me take the course was because of my 200 hours as an SIC. Your best bet would be to contact the program manager directly and plead your case. Good luck.

BTW the 601 and 604 are seperate types.

I am curious too, I have 300 hours flying the B737 on MS Flight Sim 2004 and interested in trying to obtain a short course/conversion type rating for the Boeing 737-200. Does anyone have info if such a program exists?
