3.5 to 4 hours. We have flown out of Ocean Reef, Florida by Key Largo to Chicago and landed with 2500 lbs reserve fuel. That is 1100 miles with about 2 hours or so reserve left.

Depends...

If obstacle clearance is not an issued:

Flaps 20 T/O at 20C yields a MTGW of 36400lbs. (24000 BEW + 500 PAX + 11900 lbs. fuel).
That's good for 5 hours (2400,1800,1750,1700,1700,) with 2500lbs reserve. At normal cruise that will give approx. 2200 mile range (440KTAS avg./hr.) with a 2500lb (1.75 hr) reserve.

If obstacle clearance is....

Flaps 10 gives you a MTGW of 34500.

It can go 2200nm off a 4300 foot runway? Wow, thats pretty damn good. Does that beat a Falcon 50?

My original fuel burns were a little conservative...

More like 2400,1700,1600,1600,1600 for a 5 hour burn of 8900lbs. so the range is more like 2400 miles with a 2500lb. (1.5 hr) reserve. That is with an initial climb to F430 and final cruise at F450.

Hilton Head (HXD) to San Francisco (SFO) has been done before...and quite easily.

g4800xp, I know the 300 is bigger than a Lj-60, but for a flight dep where our average pax load is 4, which would you be happy with a 60 or spend 8mil more and get the 300??

The 60 is a great plane, it would be your mission that would decide which is better. You have a nice cabin and good perf, and you can justify an occasional fuel stop on long legs for 8 mil in savings. I think bigger is better but I am not the sharpest tack in the box or paying for it. The 300 is awesome.
