OK Wimpy.s... We have done this often...EHAM-OKBK-OBBI- then Part 91 ferry the long way to VHHH. There are NO duty restriction's for international.

Why the long way? That's a huge difference in milage.

When Operations screw up like they usualy do and dont get overfly permits then we have to go the long way

The long way is flying south of India and then up through China, not flying to HKG westbound!

It happens every now and then, but not often and adds about 1 hour to the flight time.
