Getting into managing a owner operated part 91 CJ1+. Being a current 121 pilot and not being involved in the corporate side of the house for several years, what are most operators doing as far as engine longevity replacement programs? Are most operators using Cessna's proparts in combination with the poweradvantage "insurance" program, or are people going with a TAP elite managed program.
Second follow up to that is for those of you in the "know" the differences between poweradvantage and the TAP elite program would be greatly appreciated. Things like labor costs, rental engines, shipping of parts, etc.
Some background on the situation, plans are to keep the jet for 2-3 years then upgrade to something else, so maybe poweradvantage isn't what we're looking for, maybe the proignition prgram as well.
Thanks for the advice.
