I went thru the initial course at SAT in February with no CJ time. With your experience in the Plane, you should not have a problem. Very straight forward.

If you got the type already, are you going thru the full initial course or just a recurrent???

I am doing the add on, I have been typed in the airplane for 1 1/2 years. Did you find it hard to adjust for the lack of a copilot

The most challenging part about not having a copilot, was doing the typical FSI BS. ie: they make you tune in atis, then call for clearance, then ground, tower, departure, etc.... If you did not switch frequencys or had the wrong one in, the Instructor would not answer you.

I also wrote all over the checklist to help me remember things when was flying the sim.

I found that if I was just sitting there flying, I was doing something wrong. You need to be thinking the entire time about what needs to happen next. I got the add-on in ICT and the instuctors there were great, at least in the CJ1+/2+/3 program. You will have a good time.

Flyin Chicken

It's a handful during single engine ops when it's out of trim (v1 cuts, single engine GA). Having to retrim, operate the flaps, do the comms, etc during these events was something that stood out to me.

I went through about 5 years ago.

Went through FSI in SAT last May. Did the single pilot type..Fly the airplane...study the memory items and profiles...With your time in the airplane you'll be fine.
