Hey,
Just wanted to toss this on the table. If so many airlines are teetering on BK and possible Chap 7, how will the Govt. move troops and equipment around?
Discuss, if UAL, DAL or AA go Chap 7 how will it affect our strategic ability to continue our operations, nationally. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_Reserve_Air_Fleet

It probably won't have any impact because that is sure money for the cotract airlines.

Which ones, ATA.....If UAl, DAL, NWA ect are the largest, who will bw left?

Cargo-wise things are pretty much OK. There are enough ACMI's out there to fulfill the contracts.

As for troop transport, ATA did a ton of that and since their untimely demise there has been a hole to fill. From what I've heard, just about all the pax ACMI carriers like World, N. American, ect. have taken on about as much extra flying as they can.

As for Northwest, We have 2 dedicated whales doing almost exclusive mil charters. there is rumor of adding another couple whales or -400's to that. However, this is charter work.

CRAF has not been activated at NWA, but from the sounds of things it is a possibility in the future.
