Would you consider sunny, warm San Diego instead of the freezing rustbelt?
If so, you should consider Mike Pappas at Flight Crew Systems, Inc. . I got my Citation type from Mike in 1990 when he was Professional Airline Systems. He puts on an absolutely terrific program that I enjoyed. I spent five days there and had a blast (the program is actually four days but I did my single-engine ATP with Mike on the Friday after the course ended).
Mike is an old Western Airlines pilot who Delta took in during the merger. He holds several type ratings and is a Twin Otter expert. He is extremely savvy about hiring and offers great advice.
I recommend Mike Pappas' Citation program highly.
One thing I would mention about buying type ratings. With the SW 737 exception a type doesn't help you much unless you have or are assured of getting time in type. I got mine because I thought that it would prove that I was trainable and typeable. It didn't do a thing for me except perhaps help me get some senior flight instructing positions.
You can also try JET TYPES of Ft Lauderdale. A friend got his 500 type there. It is VERY basic, but if you have time in type and study well, it should be a breeze.
Just curious, why won't you consider FlightSafety? Their training is second to none, albeit expensive. FSI Atlanta and Toledo have extensive Citation sims and CBT/CPT equipment.
