Hi all,

Our company is operating two of these now, and so far, with just under 100 hours in the airplane, I'm enjoying the differences from the straight II.

I'm curious if anyone knows why Cessna went with the TKS vs. boots on the S/II? I was under the impression that it had a V wing, which has boots.

Thanks!

I was told in school that when the S/II was developed the technology didn't exist to have a laminar flow wing with boots. When the 560 came around the boot technology was up to speed with the laminar flow wing.

It's the other way around from the development....

The Citation V has the S-II wing, less TKS, + boots.

Ultra....

Thanks guys, I appreciate the answers. Always curious why things were designed the way they were.
