Hi Everyone,

Was not sure where to post this, so I put it in the general category.

My resume writer friend asked me to post this job on here as she was contacted by a gentleman in San Diego, CA wanting a pilot for his Citation 525. This could be contract work for someone looking to pick up extra hours or a full time gig under Part 135.

Here are the REQUIREMENTS: These requirements are for insurance purposes.

Type Rating on the Citation 525 - If you are current that is great, if you are not current, they will pay for you to get current at Flight Safety.

Total Time Minimum of 3000 hours
PIC Minimum of 1500 hours
Jet Time Minimum of 500 hours
PIC Time in the Citation 525 Minimum of 100 hours
Prefers someone with International and Domestic experience
Must have simulator based training
Must have knowledge of weather packages, flight plans, etc. (the reason why he put this requirement is he had an airline pilot friend who had been flying at Delta so long, he forgot how to do any of this)

Pay:
If contract work - $350 a day
If full time, could be $50,000 a year. (he is talking about setting up the airplane as a Charter aircraft under Part 135, having an aviation management company handle that part which could mean additional money over and above flying for him)

I am just passing along the information since Kathy was contacted by this gentleman to see if she could locate any pilots that would be interested. She is committed to helping pilots get jobs since she was in the airline industry for so long. She is not getting paid to do this, so please only apply if you have the qualifications. She will be forwarding on the resumes to this man.

Email your resume to her at [email protected] if you meet the qualifications.

Good luck everyone and hope this helps out!

Thanks for taking the time to post the job and thinking of us! The effort is much appreciated, even by those of us that don't quite meet the minimums.

Your Welcome!

No problem! Kathy (the Resume Writer) immediately contacted me to post this to the boards cause she knew that there are so many pilots who are out of work and might jump at this opportunity. She is a really great gal and really cares about the job situation that pilots are in right now.

Here is the direct link to her website in case anyone is interested. She has some great articles on her site as well.

Good luck in your career!

shameless plug for Kathy...

I have a friend who gave me his resume to critique. When he gave me his initial resume, I was not impressed, even though he has 3000+ of PIC turbine in a 121 job. I recommended he have a professional redo his resume. Kathy did it, and it was WAY better than what he had before. It actually puts him in a better light than he really is!

I also talked to her about this CJ job, and she is the nicest person...I recommend anyone in the aviation industry that needs a resume to go check out her website and give her a call....

Kathy really is a nice person. I know she has a client right now who really wants to work for my airline (the airline she worked for) and has called me, and the A320 and 737 Sr. Check Airmen to help this guy out. As I said in another post, back in the early 1990's when we were all laid off, she made a personal call to David Neeleman (now head of JetBlue) at Morris Air to ask him to hire as many of our furloughed pilots as he could. I was hired there and went back when my recall number came up. My counterparts are all now sitting at SWA as Captains!!

Unfortunately these days, so much is up to the powers that be in Pilot Recruitment, that going in the back door seems to be the only avenue of entry. I know that alot of getting hired now is letters of rec. But, it is also having a good letter, detailing why you want to work for that company and what you know about their operation.

I will pass on the nice note to her!

Position Filled

Hi Everyone,

Kathy wanted me to tell everyone that the job has been filled for the C525 job. She told me she got some great candidates and she is proud of how professional everyone was in their application for the job. If she hears of anything else, she will let me know so I can post it here first!

Not so fast....

The CE525 job has NOT been filled.

I was referred to this gentleman through Kathy, and was THAT CLOSE to getting a pilot for him. The deal fell through, and he still needs a pilot. The candidate needs to have a CE525s type rating.

I don't know if Kathy will take resumes for him still or not. I don't want to step on her toes, so if you are interested, contact her first. If she is not longer involved, PM me and I'll get your resume over to the owner.
