Hi guys, is Chq still uses FSI instructors in STL for ground and SIM train or has been change, and now taught by Chq instructors ?
Has anyone recently completed initial training. What seem to be the kind problems that give new initial truoble and causes them to wash-out !!!
What is the wash-out at CHQ per class?
Thanks for info.

As of right now, CHQ uses FSI insructors for the most part. I believe that might change as things get busier. Wash out rate is quite low. Maybe one or two a class. Some classes have no problems at all. Memory items and limitations are the key to passing the oral. Spend lots of time in the CPT before sim. The ones that do that, seem to have very little problem.

Good luck

12 of 12 passed in my class in December. And everyone passed in the January 2nd class.

But dude what is up with the spelling/grammar?

All your base are belong to us...

As of right now, all CHQ new-hires go through the full FSI course for ground and SIM (about 6 weeks). FSI instructors do the training and CHQ check airmen do the checkrides. It is not a 'train to fail' program nor a 'trian to profeciency' program either. If you can pass your ride by flying to standards, then you will pass.

For Captain upgrades, the ground training is done in Indy by CHQ instructors and all tests are taken there. The SIM is 4 sessions at FSI with a FSI instructor and a CHQ check airman or a Fed giving the types. If you can fly to standards you pass, if you can't meet the standards, you'll fail. Just like any chcekride.

Please know it was not me!!

Besides, nobody's perfect......the guy obviously just rushed through his post without proofreading it.
