Couldn't attend myself (not quite sure if I would have been welcome) so wondered how they went.

1) Was there any information that hasn't made it to this board?

2) Were there any answers to the questions brought up on this board? (example: new hire training costs)

3) Without tipping our collective hand, among the attendees, what was the general reaction toward the TA? Similar to the posts read here?

4) Any word on the mailings?

Thanks for any information from those who did attend.

I couldn't attend, so this is all second hand info...

First of all YOU ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!!

1) I haven't heard much other info

2) what specific questions do you have about x-newhire training costs?

3) Everyone I've head of that went to the roadshow understands this contract's weight and will probably vote yes. I've head from others that didn't go or don't go to the company board, or here, that they are pissed about the pay rates and are thinking of voting NO

4) should be next week

like I said, I couldn't attent.

B
Unity!!

I will Vote YES

I did go to the roadshow.

Don't worry about the training costs. It's a carryover from the previous thing. It leaves the door open for the 2 yr. contract.

There is info that didn't make it, and may not be appropriate for the boards.

I was here for the last contract to be passed (92% I believe) and even though a majority voted for it, all that was heard on the line from 3 yr and less guys (similar to the seniority range that whines now) was "I didn't vote for that POS!!!". I imagine it will be the same this time. Don't worry.

Make sure you and your fellow furloughees call the local and talk to Karen Wilcox. Make sure your address is up to date and you are in good standing so your vote counts.

We look forward to ya'll coming back and HIRING a bunch.

I will vote YES

Thanks for the replies.

The good standing thing may be difficult for about 16 of us furloughees because we've never received paychecks from which dues could have been deducted. Only speaking for myself, I've received IBT publications at my address but have yet to gain access to the 747/CHQ message board due to the good standing thing.

So, for now, this board and a few e-mailed tidbits are my only sources of information.

Again, thanks for the insights and the 100% "yea" in the undeclared informal pole.

Expecting the uniform to show before the recall letter,
BD
