Ladies and Gentlemen,
I was curious as to everybodys take on what hiring will be in the short term for Chautauqua. When do they expect to start and with how many for the remainder of the year? Thanks everybody!!!

Look for hiring to start after the TA passes. That is, if it passes. Look for an announcement for United after the deal signed.

Thanks, TWAER. You were right on with everything from the beginning of the negotiations!

When will all the votes be counted and stuff? Probably a few weeks or what? Just wondering.

Anybody know what the time frame is for the TA to be passed (or rejected I guess) ?

The contract hasn't even been mailed yet. It's supposed to go out tomorrow or the next day (I know, the board said Monday, but you know how these things go).

September 30 isn't a long way away. Remember, this voting process is done by mail. Some people won't get the contract at their homes until Tuesday or Wednesday, and if they start a trip that morning, it could be the next Saturday before they get a look at it. Even if they send their vote in the next Monday, give it four days to get lost in the mail, that would make Friday, the 26th the absolute earliest anyone could possibly get their votes back. You have to allow at least a *little* slop, too.

There's a lot of stuff going on here right now, and the only real difinitive answer to anybody's question is that we might hire over 1000 pilots in the next few years, or we might go out of business, or something in between. I hope that helps. :D
