CHQ Furloughing?

Hey guys, I talked to an Orlando Captain. Last name was Smith, and he said CHQ is going to furlough 60 some guys. Terror tactic, or truth. Just curious. Hope not.

Careful about naming names... There are at least two Captains in MCO named Smith.

Yes, there is a threat to furlough 62 pilots. However, many of these furloughs have already been canceled. Until it actually happens I would chalk it off to SOP during negotiations....

About the furloughs........I have a friend who was hired in April or there abouts, just finished IOE!

Well, he was given the letter and 4 days later got a call from Mgmt. saying they don't really need him to be furloughed!

He told them he made prior arrangements and he is going to take the voluntary!!!

So I am pretty sure and certain this is a bargaining tactic! If you guy's actuallly strike..........I say goood for you, but bad timing, as far as the industry goes!
