No answer here, just 1 more question. Chicago Express has an ad for f.o.'s on one of the job websites. It reads that upgrade times are 3-6 months. Is this correct? If not, what would a realistic time frame be, I realize that many factors could change the time range, but just an educated guess would be fine.
Where did you see that? have a link for it? When attrition rates are high, maybe 1.5 yrs? I've been there two yrs, and that seems to be about the average.
I recently spoke to a captain in Vegas and he said upgrade times were more likely going to be around 18 to 24 months, on the low end. Quite a bit will depend on the attrition rates as previously stated in the above post. If Windy can establish some sort of flow through program with ATA ( I don't see this happening anytime soon) then this may go down but who knows. I heard the 717 talks have come to a hault and to my knowledge ATA hiring is up in the air at best present day so time shall tell. All depends on how well ATA will do in the near future...
If you have the choice, go Comair, much better pay, QOL, and you will be flying jet equipment versus a prop. I would not even waste time thinking about this one if I were you, no brainer....
This is off the skyjobs.net website. Just posted yesterday, www.skyjobs.net (sorry, don't know how to include link)

Read the thread. Someone posted this OLD job posting on a job board. Since many of the job boards copy from each other, the same obsolete information spreads.
What you are reading is 4 or more years old. If you are still convinced it is current, apply. You will upgrade in less than 6 months.
