Anyone have any ideas what would become of C8 if (when) ATA files for Chapter 11? Sounds like the 737's are going to Airtran and the 757's are going to Hawaiian... No mention of the S340's. I once worked there last year and they have a great work group.

AirTran to pay $87.5 million for ATA gates, slots
Tue Oct 26, 2004 06:26 PM ET
CHICAGO, Oct 26 (Reuters) - AirTran Holdings Inc. (AAI.N: Quote, Profile, Research) , parent of AirTran Airways, on Tuesday said it has agreed to pay $87.5 million for certain gates and slots of bankrupt ATA Airlines (ATAH.O: Quote, Profile, Research) in Chicago, New York and Washington.

AirTran said it would assume ATA's leases on up to 14 gates at Chicago's Midway Airport and acquire 19 takeoff and landing slots at New York's LaGuardia Airport and 8 such slots at Washington's Ronald Reagan National Airport. ATA filed for bankruptcy late on Tuesday, under pressure from soaring fuel prices and declining fares. The deal with AirTran is subject to bankruptcy court approval.
