Does anyone out there know who flies the Chicago Cubs? I have heard they have a 757 that flys the team around. Do you know if they use ORD or PWK? I'm ORD based for the last year and haven't seen it yet. My guess is that it's owned by the Tribune Co. but I don't really know. Sure would be great to work for whoever does fly it. Any help would be appreciated.

You can't take a 757 (or 737) into PWK... Would have to be ORD or MDW... I think the Tribune has a Falcon 2000...

They used to charter a MD80 from Midwest Airlines. Not sure what they are doing this year. Very few sports teams own there own plane, most charter.

I could have sworn Discovery channel ran a program awhile back and they were using some charter companies 727. I remember because they talked about which seat was Sammy Sosa's.

There is a company called Zeno Air out of ENW, and I believe they do all of the flying for Wrigley corporate. Don't know if it has anything to do with the Cubs, though.

By the way, Cubs looking pretty good.

Wrong Wrigley. Nothing to do with the Cubs.

Most athletic teams charter, either through the home town airline or through specific companies like Champion Air or Miami Air.

Scrubs charter

I used to work the line at Signature @ ORD. The Cubs have used a few charter companies. Two years ago they chartered with Northwest Airlines on a 757, but they're back to using Ryan with a 727. Ground handling them can be a pain in the a$$, but they do reserve seats for us for each home game.

Thanks

Thanks for all your help everyone. My wife actually saw the Discovery Show a while back. I just was tying to put together her version of the show to how it actually works. Thanks again.
