They fly some rough looking Falcons, But what freighter other than FEDEX and UPS doesn't look rough?
Last time I ran across a CA crew was in Miss back about August or so, At that time they were looking for pilots. I think the Capt. said he made about 35K or so. Been a while so can't be sure.
Cherry Air, Ameristar and USA Jet are all looking for pilots. Also Falcon, based in TX, and I think the old Grande Air (now Tri-Coastal) are also looking.
They are all (mostly) cargo cos. that fly a combination of Lears/Falcons/-9s/737s.
Do your research on these companies so you know what you're in for. If it sounds good to you, go the interview and see what U think.
Last two DA-20 upgrades had been at USA Jet almost four years. It should go back to the 2-3 year time by 2005. Right now no one is going anywhere, our one loss for the year was going to ATA, but he changed his mind last Thursday night.
Pilotyip! He didn't change his mind, they just postponed his class till probably sometime next year. Apparently ATA isn't getting the 7 planes they thought now, just one.
No! He didn't "change his mind" ! jeez His mind is solid. Its just a matter of when the class date is....
Now if youre talking to a FO chomping at the bit for an upgrade at USAJet well then you might project a loss of 6 pilots by June
But yea to be fair Mr. H, you did say today that all Falcon upgrades were "probably" done for the year. Everything is as solid as mercury here and all across the industry but dont try to spin things like he "decided to stay here" you know exactly why hes not going to ATA right now
There are alot of new hires here at USAJet and alot of movement which makes me very very happy. I got hired a year and a half ago and currently I'm the "alternate" for the Falcon upgrade class. Basically meaning if no DC-9 F.O.'s senior to me decide to come slumming in the Falcon I should be next to upgrade.....
oh wait. was this thread about Cherry Air? oops sorry.
