Personal Pilot / Instructor / Dual Engine rated 7/25/2004
I am embarking on a large land development project in lake Havasu Arizona, but I like and produce music in LA California. I need someone who has their instructors license as well as either a dual or large single turbo prop plane. My plans here are to buy the plane, hire you and have you teach me to fly and license me while we fly back and forth between Santa Monica and lake Havasu occasionally LasVegas and Prescott and back. Depending on your situation, you will need to rent your own apartment in Havasu and while in Havasu (500-800 for new 3brd), you will be responsible for fueling the plane, driving my truck during work hours and keeping my boat fueled. When in LA, your on your own.

There is no commercial service from LA to Havasu. I will need to be here Monday morning, leave Thursday and return to LA. I am pretty lax but i need to be on time. I have not picked the plane yet, but I may need your help on that one if i find the right person fast enough.

Pay is negotiable and you will be aloud to do whatever you want, take the boat out or wave runners if you want while I'm working. I may need you driving during the day on occasion.
During non flying time you will be considered on call for driving purposes. I will pay you in a on call driver capacity while you in lake Havasu, and a pilot while we are flying. in the future i may be able to offer you corporate housing.

The perks are great, and its a pretty lax job. Call or email 310-500-8310 [email protected]

The guy can't even spell correctly, let alone use proper grammar to create a sentence... Just who I'd want to work for... Sounds like a real winner...

this gotta be a joke! First of all, it will be 100% illegal. Read the regs regarding cross country time for students. Then read part 135 and see if this is more of what is pertaining to what you want to do.

Didn't read the regs on cross country before posting, but I don't see how this is 135?

Don't get me wrong, sounds like a piece of siht job if there ever was one, but I'm not seeing that this is 135.

The advertiser(Employer) states that he want's to BUY the airplane. He is looking for you to fly the thing (Among other things, a.k.a., being his bitch). Now I think I'm right in saying that this can be done under part 91. All you (as the bitch) would be doing is flying his airplane. 135 doesn't apply, unless, this jerk starts chartering out the airplane.

Just so you all know, he received over 60 applicants in three days and asked to have the listing removed while he sorts them all out. I guess there are plenty of pilots looking for this type of thing.

Another funny one

Click on S2B's findapilot link. Click on Jobs. It's the first one. (It won't let me cut-and-paste it for some reason or I'd post it here).

Some of the highlights:

Two Saab 340 Captains wanted immediately. Job location: Continental U.S/Undecided. Pay: Very attractive and worth paying for your own training.

So, let's see if I have this straight. They need two Saab Capt's immediately to base you, well, they don't even know where, but it will be worth being a whore.

Sure it will.

HE is the charter. You are basicly flying him point to point for meetings, etc for his personal schedule and saying its FLIGHT TRAINING. Oh ya, and he's getting his private/multi liscense in one shot in a turbo prop as his first plane to learn in?

Im not a Fed but if metal is bent at all doing this they gonna be bright eyed and bushy tailed about it.

the reason y our industry is in such shambles as it is, is because people will actually mail him resumes wanting to do it. Whores!

Uhhmmm, that's what I do for a living. I fly a CEO and his employees point to point for meetings, etc for his personal schedule......in his aircraft..... And we don't even use the silly ruse about flight training. And you think I should be worried?

I'm not a Fed either, and I sleep pretty well at night.

I agree with the whore part though.

Re read your regs, or the original post. You are confused on one or the other. This will be a part 91 operation. You would be a standard corporate pi....errr Corporate Whore.

I think somebody needs to read Pt 91 again. To fly someone around in their own airplane that they have paid for is from 135. So when XYZ company hires someone to fly their GV or any other aircraft that is 135 work huh? Interesting what ever happened to Pt 91? Must not be any out there then.

I would consider doing it. $550 a day for flying, $65 an hour for driving stand-by, $135 an hour while driving, $275 per diem when on the road and a $5,500 per month management fee for the airplane. Oh yeah, and $75 per hour for ground training.

Did I miss anything?

At least I would be a fairly well paid whore...

yep, my bad. I had this post confused with another i had posted and got the two combined into one post worth of replies. Please excuse my incorrect babbling.

I did it!!

This guys wants to use your airplane... which dis-qualifies the majority of you foolios!!!!

When I owned the Conquest I would have my pilot fly this guy... he is actually a well known individual...... and quite nice.... we gave him flight instruction all the time and billed him for it...

Who cares what the feds think.... what are they going to do to me? Take my birds away? Ya right!!

The guy can't even drive his own car, but he wants to fly someone else's airplane?
