Hey all, got the call today from Rosa for an interview next month. I am super stoked and I cannot wait to be in IND for the interview. I would love to work for Chautauqua. Does anyone have any new gouge on the interview. I was looking at aviationinterviews.com and noticed that the lastest is a few month old. Are they still doing the sim eval. I have been out of the flight deck for a while and am pretty worried about it, I study regularly however and try to run scenarios thru my mind. If anyone has anything they can offer me for help it would be greatly appreciated. God I am nervous already, looking forward to some comments from people. Also what are the bases rite now and their plans for them. I presently live in CA. If all goes well I will have to figure out if I should move or commute. I would love to stay here in CA for a while as my fiancee has a great paying job and that would help tons. Whats the pay rates now with the new contract? Thanks in advance everyone!!!!:D :D :D

congrats

the last interview gouge is a few months old cause that was about the last time they did interviews. i believe it is spot on. it was when i did mine. was youre resume alked in or just sent in? any LOR's with it?

the sim is pretty easy, just know youre ifr procedures. its one of those PC based sims with external modules...but pretty alright by the PC standards.

Hey PirateRob,

My resume was sent in just by me, no LOR's or walk in. I was pretty amazed that I got called. Anyone else with any info.

Cheers,

Avrat

How long between your submittal of your resume and recieving their call? Did you mail or fax?

Hey guys...I just submitted a resume via email (their online app) and stardard US mail...priority mail. I have
1210 Total
329 Multi
266 Turbine
Do I have any chance? I'm hoping I get a call before I become TOO qualified....this might be a myth..but I swear I have seemed to see at as people try and get interviews. Chautauqua is really where I want to be. I have a lot of alumni there. Thanks for any info...and I second the question posted earlier....how long had your resume been there?

With a whopping 1200 hours I wouldn't worry about being over qualified, but I would get one of your alum's to walk your stuff in for you. You have good time, but still low total time and that seems to be the way everyone is getting an interview anywhere these days. Good luck!

Airpiratebob:

You HAVE to get rid of that avitar, man -- it's giving me nightmares.

Thanks for responding duck feeder

Thanks for the response,
Is there anyone on this board...current CHQ drivers that could help give me a hand? I know it's tough without knowing someone too well but anyone is invited to PM me. Also if anyone just has info in general about CHQ I would be very pleased. Thanks in advance for the support during these rough times.

OH MY GOD! Please tell me you aren't a complete tool. The guy just got an interview - I'd be pretty excited too. What the hell is wrong with people like you? Are you that insecure that you have to slam others to make your penis feel bigger?

Good one OldManPilot, I will admit that after I posted this thread and I read it I put my head in my hands and said some people are going to have a field day with that. :D

whats wrong with the avatar? not a dead milkmen fan?

seriously congrats to anyone who gets an interview. remember youre hired...just try not to give them a reason to change their mind at the interview.

as far as competitive times. PIC is about the best time you can get. MULTI IS KING! my class had 17 people. ranging from the CFI to the ATP furlough. alot of us had turbine time and times ranging from 1500 to over 3000-4000. one guy has C-5 sic time. the key is this, if youre a low timer, you gotta have that CFII and be USING IT! if youre a mid timer (15002000+) then you better have multi-pic and be doing it regularly, have 135 background and exposure to busy environments with nasty weather. got more than 2000? you better have a bunch of PIC turbine with all the affore mentioned......

oh yeah. get it walked in by someone. keep sending it in normally, but you gotta get it walked in somehow as well. its imperitive.

Actually i'm quite pleased with my small penis. It is working just fine, but thanks for your concern.

P.S. Thanks for your imput.

Now, back to the thread. Remember when you are interviewing they are trying to decide if sitting next to you ALL MONTH will be enjoyable, or if they will be wanting to strangle you by the end of the month. It has more to do with the interview than you could possibly imagine.

Would you mind checking out my earlier post and fill us in--enquiring minds want to know...;-)

Lou,

I have been sending in my resume over the last year. As far as which one got the attention I do not know. I faxed my resume every time.

Cheers,

Avrat

CHQ call

Well thats just great you got a call from CHQ, I don't know who the Stop Wexford dude is but I wish he would stop them, before we start having to pay to fly their freaking planes. Its pretty bad when FO's qualify for food stamps. oh yeah I forgot this is a profession.

Hey guys!

Would a scenario like this work to get hired at CHQ: 1500-2000 TT, almost all of that Twin Turbine, at a 121 regional, but SIC?

Put it this way... Senior management and senior check pilots have walked in things with the MOST GLOWING LORs and can't get people called for interviews.... if you got one one your own then be very happy/proud since you lucked out some way. All I know is that those paired with check airmen the next 6+ months better look FWD to a lot of AVL days!

Helo driver at CHQ

Hows does a helo driver with ATP MEL 3700 total hours 300+ FW with 100 MEL with ME CFI stand on getting an interview at CHQ.

Helo driver at CHQ

What are the chances for a helicopter driver/Retired Navy Pilot with an FAA ATP MEL with over 3700 total hours/300+ FW with 100 MEL getting an interview at CHQ?
