I don't work there but have two good friends who do. PIT is no longer a base now that the Saabs are gone. BOS is closing, and a new base is opening at GSO (Greensboro, NC).

If my information is out of date, hopefully a CHQ pilot on the board will correct me.

do you get to pick your base or is one assigned...and if assigned...how long b4 you can transfer?

Standing bid is submitted week 2 of training. Awards announced prior to completion. 2-3 months before you can successfully bid out; based on vacancies and seniority.

MCO is the most senior FO base, I believe.

You get to bid on your base in Class Seniority order (oldest in the class is the most senior). You can submit a standing list of bases that you would like immediately.

I just finished training and the only bases nobody recieved was:
Orlando
Richmond

3 guys went to STL
alot went to PHL, LGA
3 to IND
3 or 4 to CMH
