I come and go on these forums, so this issue might have already been discussed. However, we all know that Chautauqua and Mesa succeed primarily on their ability to undercut other regionals. Have these pilots ever tried to get more compensation? In other words, since payroll is the single largest expense, and these carriers are able to undercut others, it suggests that their compensation sucks.
Since I am also lazy, I'm relying on everyone else to provide pay / compensation details. But what I really want is these regionals to raise the cost of doing business, so the majors have to raise fares.
Cartels don't work- there's always some guy willing to sell or do something cheaper than the collective whole. And the company I work for continually asks us to hang in there, and wait for better times down the road. And I'm sure other guys have heard the rhetoric as well...
How long is this freakin' road? And will Chautauqua "I'd like to buy a vowel" and Mesa "11 days off is great!" shorten this journey?
BTW, how are JetLink's negotiations going?
