I just sat in a 604 challenger and couldn't believe it. If 4 people sit in the club seats then they will be playing an interlocking game of crossing legs as well as footsie. Are all challenger's this tight in the seating arrangement? I was shocked. I am also only 5'7" so how anyone over 6 feet does this and travels any length of time I don't know. If you put 9 pax in a challenger that has a standard 9 seat arrangement ( 4 club seats, 3 place divan opposite 2 seats) it's going to be very uncomfortable. I am taking into consideration that when you fill up any plane it's going to get tight, but this was crazy.
Anyone else have anything to say.

There are a couple of different interior configurations with respect to the lav if I recall. One config gives a larger aft lav thus moving that bulkhead further into the seating area.

There are also forward closet and forward galley positions that also determine the size of the seating area.

That's interesting, the 604 I went on recently was pretty well spaced when it came to seats...certainly more comfortable than any of the Hawkers I've flown. Of course, gulfstreamameric has a good point-when it comes to cabin the iv is tough to beat.

One plane I haven't wandered on to that I'm curious about is the Challenger 300-good cabin?

The 300 is a great cabin, in the 8 place double club seating set up. Plenty of leg room. You can get them with a side faceing couch in the back. There is now a new interior with a conference grouping in the back that looks great. I was surprised to hear about that about the 604, that is usually a lot of leg room.

I'll second the room in the 300. We recently did a trip to Hawaii with 10 pax. That's right, one on the potty seat! Even with 10 on board it wasn't unbearable, but it was cozy. There is a lot of leg room in the forward double club. The biggest complaint is the exit row seats that do not move. Other than that, the couch gets a lot of use, and with a typical passenger load someone is always taking a nap on it. Great plane, I'm curious to see the new interior design.

Ultrarunner, That's got to be it on top of the biggest oversized seats I have seen. I've got a few thousand hours flying Gulfstreams and I understand the cabin is hard to beat.

I don't know man, 10 people in a 300 is crowded. I see 9 now and again and it's cramped. The pax are barely comfortable, and getting through them to the lav is a whole other story. Try it when the seats are turned out and they are spread all over the place.

Not complaining, awesome plane.... Just not as wide as the 600 series- I'll take the performance over comfort anyway!

Five hours with 10 pax in a 28.6 foot aluminum tube!
