The Situation
Earth Star, based in Burbank, California, is the corporate flight department
for a world-renowned entertainment company with a long history of operating
jet aircraft.

The Position
Reporting to the Director, Aviation/Chief Pilot, the Captain will fly the
Bombardier Challenger 604 and Global Express corporate jet aircraft. The
pilot-in-command is known for his/her ability to work effectively in groups
and to build working relationships to enhance team effectiveness inside the
department, as well as within the corporate and outside community.

The Ideal Candidate
Qualified individuals will have a minimum of 5000 hours total flying time
with 3000 hours in turbojets, 2000 hours of time as Pilot in Command (1000
hours of which is in turbojet aircraft). Candidates will also have 3 years
recent experience as a jet aircraft Captain flying passengers to domestic
and international locations. Current FAA Airline Transport Pilot license
with multi-engine rating is needed, with at least one jet airplane type
rating. Candidates also will possess a First Class FAA medical
certificate; have no aircraft accidents or incidents, and no past or pending
FAA violations.

I flew with a guy last week that interviewed at Earthstar 2 weeks ago. They had 5 highly qualified candidates, all corporate and one United pilot (high senority number). From what I hear, they offered the job to the United guy (he said he would give up his number for a job with Earthstar).

This could be an old job posting.
