Can anyone recommend an instructor or flight school to train for my CFI? Ideally, I'd like an accelerated program. (I already passed the written tests if that helps). I looked into ATP's 2 week CFI program, but cannot get 2 full weeks off from work, plus its in Jacksonville or Las Vegas.

thanks for any info.

Even a local instructor who would be willing to work with me and who has done CFI training would work.

There is Gran-Aire at Timmerman, Milwaukee and Spring City Aviation and Lake Country (formally Waukesha Flying Service) at Waukesha, WI. All very capable.

I am from the Milwaukee area and have done all of my flight training through Spring City Aviation at Waukesha. They have a website, but it hasn't been updated in a while - http://www.springcityaviation.com/. The owner is a pilot for midwest, and there are six full time CFI's there (a few part-timers too). They have 2 warriors, some 152's, an arrow, citabria, and an aztec. I'm going to be doing my CFI training out there this summer, so if you have any interest in them, PM me.

Try giving Skill Aviation a call at Waukegan. Used to go by the name Waukegan Wings. Talk to Skip, he should be able to help you out.
