Does anyone know of any schools that offer a quick/accelerated initial CFI course? Or maybe just a finish-up initial CFI for someone who has already been working on it? I'm interested in getting it finished in 10 days or less. Location doesn't matter...maybe somewhere with good weather.

Thanks for any suggestions...

ATP offers a 14 day course for CFI/II/MEI. I think it costs around 7,000. I have a buddy who is doing it now. 2 much money and 2 fast pace for me. I think they are at it 10 hours a day. It just doesn't seem like it's worth the money.

go to www.theflyingschool.com... thats where i went. They have quility instrction and you can do your cfi cfii for about 5000. Its in Loveland Co. so it helps if you have someone out there to stay with. 14 days from start to finish. Weather is usually good even in the winter.
I have had freinds go to atp and said they liked it.

Air dessert Pacific

They were at Bracket Field east of Los Angeles, but there is a thread about them moving to Chino recently.

I got my CFI in under a week for $1600. I beleive they have had some turn over since I was there. Mark who ran the show and made it all happen is no longer there. I am not sure they could repeat that performance, but I definetly got my moneys worth.

In under a week? MAN thats crazy. I have been working on mine for months. I take it you had the written's and your lesson plans already done before starting the program? Was it easy for you to jump into the FOI side of teaching a lesson? There is just so much stuff you need to know, I couldn't imagine being able to do it all in a week. Did you finish out the week with the minimum 15 hours in the plane? If there was a short bus in aviation training it's times like this I feel I would be on it.

You make it sound like I didn't have to work reall hard during my 5 days at the school. I took my test on the 8th day after arriving there. I took a few days off during the week. I had 5.4 hours in the Arrow when I took my CFI checkride in one. Since I had not used my alloted 10 hours of Arrow time I got ADP to throw in some time in a Seneca.

I believe the 15 hours you refer to is in category and class. I can't imagine taking a CFI checkride with only 15 hours of category and class. You'd have to be a quick learner to pull that off.
