Hi,

I am going to get my CFI, CFII, and MEI and was wondering if anyone has any information concerning which place to get it. I have heard that if you get your CFI at a school and they like you, that you can get a job with them after getting your rating. I would like a flight school with alot of students and multi time and need of CFI's. I realize that all 3 do not exist but would need a job after training and prefer hours over multi-time. I prefer the mid-west to west side of the USA but will go to east coast if a good place to work.

Or should I get my CFI, CFII, and MEI at my small town local FBO that have no job openings at this time and try looking for jobs throughout the USA? I have heard that it is harder to get a job if they have not trained you.

Any suggestions?

Cmon, someone must know something! :) Need some advise about schools and searched most of the threads of the last 6 months to no avail. Any info about schools that you went to would be great...

San Diego flight training International (SDFTI) at montgomery field. I never worked there, but there are others on this site that have and could probably give you better info.

My experience doing training there is that it is a very good school and well organized compared to many other ones i have seen and trained at across the world. Yes there are negatives of any school, but i think SDFTI does a good job overall. They don't seem to do a lot of multi training, but as soon as you get enough flight time and connections going out on your own to all the clubs (sorbi, plus one, etc.) across the street should bring in some multi time. Personally i think it is a great field to teach out of because you get easy IFR with the marine layer. Also banging out approaches is easy with Oceanside VOR to Palomar LOC to Montgomery ILS. To do the equivalent training in hawaii you have to fly at least 2.8hrs where you can do the same in san dog for 1.5hrs!

Any more quest. PM me...
