Just finished the Gleim FIRC.

When filling out the 8710, is it necessary to flill out the "Record of Pilot Time" section, seeing as I already have all of my certificates? I always have in the past, but I'm not sure if it is required.

Also, do I need to fill out section 2, "Certificate or Rating Applied for on a Basis of:"

I would put "Graduate of an approved Course," but again, I already have the certificate, not applying for something new.

I did Gleim 2 years ago, but I can't quite remember what I filled out.

Thanks in advance.

1. You do not need to fill out the flight time section for a renewal of a CFI. However, like Patmack said it is a good idea if you ever lose your logbook, your last 8710 can be legally used to start your logbook with. If you want the reference I'll look it up. I posted it on this forum a couple of months ago.

2. You do not fill out Section two because you are not applying for a new rating. If you have any questions you can ask at the FSDO you go to when you re-new.
