Anyone with some recomendations on renewing online. I've got only till the end of this month till my cfi expires.I fly professionally and don't use my CFI but would still like to renew it.FAA won't give a signature anymore. That's how I done it in the past.I guss I'm looking for the least time consuming method .Is it aopa,Gleim,? any advice would be helpful.

I used jeppesen last time. I thought it was better than others I've used in the past. I believe I took it because I had an AOPA discount, but don't remember what it was. It may have been that it's the site I was linked to from the AOPA site when I checked on their refresher...don't recall. I did it in the evenings while I was at FSI doing a recurrent, and it was relatively painless.

Online CFI renewal. $125.00 for lifetime renewals. I have used it twice already. When I signed up it was only $100.

Take the tests, print your certificate, take to the feds and your good for another 2 years.

I've used American Flyers. While it is a lifetime fee, I haven't used them since. They were that bad. I'll keep paying, rather than using them again. Their material was out of date, their counter didn't log my time on line and made me spend a lot more time with the material, it was mostly in PDF format, some of it badly copied and not very useable. I contacted them about it. The said they knew their program was poor, and asked if I'd consider helping to improve it.

Why put something on the market that was incorrect, outdated, poorly put together, slow, and wrong? Perhaps it's improved since then, but I wouldn't have anything to do with them ever again.

Gleim and your done in about 3 hours. Clickity click. If you do American flyers, get ready to spend a stupid amount of time. IT is linked to the clock. screw that. I'll pay the 100bucks every 2 years instead of that free lifetime crap.

I think I used Gleim last time.

Did the Jepp CFI Renewal DVD course this time since I started about 2 months prior to expiration. Just sent all my paperwork in this week.

If you expire at the end of the month....do the online gig...its FASTER.
