I am getting ready to do my CFI practical in a mooney. The mooney is a personal airplane, and does not have 100 hour inspections, for me to use it on this practical, must it have a 100 hr inspection because it is being used to "teach" the examiner?

No 100 hour needed. The reg states if the airplane is being used for hire or if flight instruction is being given (by owner/operator) "for hire" 100 hour inspections must be done.

Once you get your CFI you can teach all you want in your Mooney and not have 100 hour inspections done as long as you dont charge for the instruction. Since you will not be a CFI yet on your practical, this will not be an issue for you.

Best of luck!
