Also, no where, ever, does a regulation say you need 3 hours prep time for any flight instructor certificate or rating. You will notice there are no time requirements at all for any flight instructor certificate or rating.
Oh, wait. You do have to have 15 hours total PIC time in category.
And... 5 hours PIC time in type if in a multi-engine or heicopter...IF the instriction is for a certificate or rating.
But that's about it.
