I have the task at work of developing a new and improved CFI / CFII syllabus for our flight school. What I am planning on basing it off of is an ERAU and a Jeppeson model. I've found that the Jepp syllabus for CFI/CFII is too in-depth for what we need. It has good material, but a little too in-depth. Wondering if anyone could add some suggestions or examples of CFI/CFII syllabus’s they use.

Too indepth? How can a CFI/II syllabus be too indepth?...

Just follow the other lemmings and only teach the PTS. Use the CFI PTS and develop a lesson plan for each task.

I'm being facetious. Actually, the Jeppesen CFI material is pretty comprehensive, however, if you find it too "in-depth", just remove the "too-indepth" material, and use the left-over skeleton as your own syllabus.
