Hey guys question for you. I have a number of guys that want me to train them in their CFI. I fly for the airlines now, do I need to find old log books to prove to the FAA on their exam day that I have 200 hrs dual given?

Pain in the behind, hope not:rolleyes: .

I've trained CFI students and noone ever looked at my logbook. Is it 200 dual and 24 cal months or 1 or the other....?

Bring 'em if it will make you feel more comfortable, but I've never heard of any examiner asking for the instructor's logbooks.

So do I need to bring these logbooks to their check ride or not?
Page 1-v of the Flight Instructor Practical Test Standards has a convenient list of everything the applicant needs to bring the the checkride. Neither "instructor" nor "instructor's logbooks" are anywhere on that list. I suppose if the applicant does something to make the FAA question the instruction he or she received, the FAA may ask the instructor to produce their logbooks.
